Exercise stress conditions

This test uses both an echocardiogram and exercise stress test.

The patient has a standard echocardiogram at rest which observes the wall motion of the heart. A full exercise test is carried out and immediately on completion the patient has another echocardiogram observing any differences in the strength and vigour of the hearts ability to contract (contractility).

Any reduction in wall contractility after exercise usually indicates inadequate blood flow in one or more of the coronary arteries and may indicate the need for further investigation and treatment.

Test duration: 90 minutes

Fee - $455.00
